Organization Background

HESAD AFRICA was founded in 2015 and has been operation in Kenya since 2016, and Somalia since 2018 working toward Sustainable Development Goals {SDG} 2030. Young people generation all over the World, in Africa are disproportionality affected by their Country’s problems such as poverty, climate change, poor health, lack of sustainable economic opportunities and consistently excluded from important decision –making process that affect development. HESAD AFRICA believes they are an asset to the development of Africa and its communities and with the right guidance support can become influential leader of positive change.

ORGANIZATION EXPERIENCE

To date the organization has successfully implemented over 13 projects including, relief, rehabilitation and development amongst vulnerable and marginalized communities living in Dandora; Koyole Nairobi Kenya and Somalia - Hiran, middle Shabelle and Benadir of Southern and central and The organization has worked in partnership with local and international donors in successfully delivering the needed humanitarian support to vulnerable communities.

GOVERNANCE OF THE ORGANIZATION

Board Of Directors

HESAD AFRICA organization is composed of a General Assembly, a Board of Directors and a Management Committee (Executive Committee). The General Assembly, being the paramount organ of the organization, which constitutes representatives of the communities, meets every 5 - years when it elects the BOD, the Board of Directors is the decision-making body of the organization, which comprises of 6 - persons of hierarchal responsibilities. The organization also has a management Secretariat that implements the resolutions and decisions of the Board of Directors and executes the daily activities and decisions of the organization.

A Board of Directors that consists mostly of its founders governs the organization. Board and ordinary members fulfill their role and responsibilities on voluntarily basis. The smooth running of the organization activities, the origination’s by- laws guide the board and members. The board meets every three months.
